Our client, a key organization within the real estate industry located in Vancouver, is looking for a Receptionist to join their team. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

In this role, you will be responsible for handling general reception duties, organizing courses, seminars, meetings and other events for the organization and its chapters. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining the general office and inventory of marketing supplies for the organization.

The primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Be the face of the organization, meeting and greeting visitors and guests

  • Perform basic reception duties, such as screening incoming phone requests, taking messages and providing information for various inquiries

  • Handle couriers, faxes, general incoming emails and distribution of mail as required

  • Check general office phone mail and keep phone greetings current

  • Order office supplies and equipment as necessary, and maintain inventory of supply room and publications

  • Go on home viewings and clients visits

  • Set up and disassemble the board room for all meetings & ensure it is adequately supplied, including arranging food and beverage

  • coordinate and track all events for all chapters of the organization, including training events and meetings: arrange venue, AV equipment, food and beverage, name badges, attendance list, handouts and track participation

  • Provide operational support to representatives of various chapters by preparing materials for before and after events, and liaising with them throughout the event coordination process

  • Perform other duties as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a front line and clerical office role

  • Previous experience in assisting realtors

  • Completion of grade 12; higher education would be considered an asset

  • Excellent reception and phone skills

  • Good organizational, prioritizing skills and the ability to meet deadlines

  • Proficient in MS Office and competent computer skills

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Able to speak Mandarin/Cantonese

  • MUST have a car

  • An energetic personality and creative skills would be considered an asset

Compensation for this position will be $16.00 per hour, while Temporary, and $35,000 - $38,000 per year, once Permanent.
